Meet the Industrial Biotech Bootcamp 2026 cohort

The selection process is complete, and we are excited to introduce the teams selected for the 2026 Industrial Biotech Bootcamp (#IBB26). Organised by Biotech Booster and Planet B.io, the second edition of the Industrial Biotech Bootcamp brings together a diverse group of European ventures developing biotechnology solutions for challenges across food, chemicals, materials, water and sustainable production.

Over the coming months, they will work intensively on their ventures, covering topics including strategy, technology roadmaps, intellectual property, team development, funding and pitching.
From precision fermentation and sustainable biocatalysis to CO₂ conversion, enzymatic bioconjugation, industrial coatings and biological approaches to desalination, the cohort represents a broad range of applications within industrial biotechnology.

Meet the ventures joining #IBB26

And more to come

The 2026 cohort also includes a team that is currently operating in stealth mode and has chosen not to be publicly identified at this stage. Together, the selected ventures represent the breadth of industrial biotechnology and the different ways biotechnology can contribute to more sustainable production - from food and chemicals to industrial processes and water.

Throughout the Industrial Biotech Bootcamp, the teams will work with experts, mentors and fellow entrepreneurs to challenge their assumptions, strengthen their business strategies and prepare their ventures for the next stage of development.
