Planet B.io is looking for a Community & Event Lead for the Protein Port program who will connect stakeholders across the alternative protein ecosystem and drive meaningful collaboration.  

We’re happy to be part of the Dutch Biotech Cluster at Bio Innovations Europe 2026, alongside Biotech Booster and hollandbio! Taking place in The Hague on 10-11 June and focused on driving the commercialisation of industrial biomanufacturing in Europe, Bio Innovations Europe will connect over 400 bio-pioneers from across the region for two days of pre-arranged, commercially focused 1-2-1 meetings, knowledge exchange and networking.

On 11 March, Erwin Nijsse, Director-General at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, visited Planet B.io. The visit aligns well with the Netherlands’ evolving political and economic direction and therefore he was joined by a broad delegation of colleagues from several ministries.

Since this week, Thijs van Daal has joined the team of Planet B.io as Sales & Marketing Associate.

Nikolas Gaio recently joined Planet B.io as Science & Innovation Manager, bringing a unique mix of deep-tech entrepreneurship and scientific expertise. Over the past year, Planet B.io has supported a diverse group of innovative companies through the Kansen voor West vouchers. These vouchers are designed to help entrepreneurs take the next step in developing and scaling sustainable bio-based and food innovations by providing targeted support for advisory services, process optimisation, and establishment.

A major renovation is underway at the Biotech Campus Delft to prepare the Food Innovation Center for its next chapter. In collaboration with a.s.r. real estate, Planet B.io is transforming the building into a future-proof, multi-tenant hub designed specifically for the needs of growing food and biotech scale-ups.

After the summer break, Planet B.io welcomed several new residents. Each brings valuable expertise and innovation, further strengthening our growing ecosystem. Below, you will find a short introduction to the companies that have recently joined us at the Biotech Campus Delft.

Tuesday, October 14th, we hosted a special community kick-off to celebrate that the Planet B.io Flexible Bio Lab is now fully up and running. While the lab has already been in use by several companies, this event marked the moment to showcase the completed setup, share new opportunities, and welcome our newest user.
