Planet B.io is proud to offer our Education Lab, a specialized teaching facility designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Located at the heart of Biotech Campus Delft, this 55 m² ML-2 compliant lab is perfectly equipped to host up to 24 students and 2 teachers, providing an ideal space for education and training.

We provide a dynamic environment where students can not only gain practical experience but also can make the connection to contribute to real-world research projects in collaboration with innovative biotech startups, scale-ups, and corporates nearby.

Available for daily rental, the Education Lab is perfect for institutions seeking a short-term, high-impact learning environment. The rental includes access to basic lab supplies, shared equipment, and support from our lab manager, ensuring that your teaching sessions run smoothly and effectively.

Plus, being located at Biotech Campus Delft, your students will have the unique opportunity to experience a bustling biotech hub first-hand, enhancing their education with exposure to a thriving professional network.

Conditions

The Education Lab is a ML-2 lab; work with micro-organisms is allowed.

The educational institution must submit an educational plan to Planet B.io, including risk analysis. Only activities approved in advance may be performed.

Minimum age of the students is 16 years.

A qualified teacher must be present in the lab at all times when students are present.

From 13 students onwards, a second lecturer or teaching assistant is required.

Including

  • Basic rent of the lab;
  • Service costs (electricity, gas, heating);
  • Basic lab supplies such as test tubes, racks, petri dishes;
  • Use of (shared) infrastructure/lab equipment;
  • Basic support from our lab manager for preparing lab equipment;
  • Maintenance of equipment;
  • Parking;
  • Visitor passes;
  • Hot drinks (coffee, tea, chocolate milk) and cold drinking water;
  • Administration costs and management.
