Formical

At Formical, we provide a data management platform to automate data collection and cleaning for biotech companies. This helps in creating a universal overview from upstream to downstream bioprocessing, from lab to manufacturing. Using the Formical platform for data management effectively improves data quality and thereby also the quality of analyses, simulations and AI models. With this, we help implement process optimizations, shorten R&D cycles, and improve failure troubleshooting.
Focus
Our focus is providing both industrial biotech and food tech with AI-ready, FAIR data to help them achieve commercial scale production.
What makes your technology unique?
We’re the only data management platform focussing on unifying both upstream and downstream data for industrial biotech and food tech. The only alternatives are dedicated to pharma. In addition to that, we’re the only ones who provide capabilities to learn from industry-wide (bio)process data without having to compromise your IP, using e.g., federated learning.
Main product(s)
Our software platform consists the following capabilities: 1) data collection from lab & manufacturing equipment and software-based data sources, 2) integrated data storage with FAIR principles applied to upgrade data quality, and 3) web-based portal for accessing data and AI-assisted process data analysis.
